In 2013, the communities of Colintraive and Glendaruel purchased the 1500 acre Stronafian Forest. Whilst the majority of the woodland is currently leased to Stakis Forestry LLP for commercial operations, the community tself directly manages around 200 acres, including several sites of historical interest.

In recent years, we have established a network of walking trails through the forest above the Clachan of Glendaruel, which are for the enjoyment of both residents and visitors.
